    Welcome to the ANZA Golf Group. We’re a multicultural group of golf enthusiast who play at varied levels and every Wednesday we venture out to a different course in the greater Jakarta area for golf and lunch.

    There are so many advantages to learning a second language including brain health and deeper cultural understanding. Many of our members will attest that life in Jakarta runs a lot smoother when you develop your Bahasa Indonesia skills.

    These classes are aimed at complete beginners to give you practical language skills including:

    • Indonesian Alphabet and Pronunciation
    • Indonesian question words and how to build sentences using them
    • Indonesian numbers for numbering, money, time
    • Asking and giving directions
    • Ordering food at a restaurant
    • Shopping and bargaining
    • Prohibiting and giving orders

    Kick start your Bahasa Indonesia journey in these fun, engaging lessons with a small group of fellow beginners.

    When: 11:00am - 12:30pm Tuesdays and Thursdays for 5weeks

    19, 21, 26, 28 February 5, 7, 12, 14, 19, 21 March

    Cost: IDR 2,200,000 per person for 10 sessions payable by Thursday 14 February 2019

    FAQs

    Who is the tutor?

    Ibu Restiany Achmad is a highly regarded Bahasa Indonesia teacher and has been teaching expats in group and private lessons for a number of years (including many ANZA members). She is also the author of several Bahasa Indonesia language books. Participants are in good hands with Ibu Restiany.

    How many will be in the class?

    There is a minimum of 4 and maximum of 6 participants.

    If there are more people interested then we can schedule classes at a different time and/or dates.

    Where will the classes be held?

    In the meeting room at ANZA House

    What if I can't attend all dates?

     to launch participants Bahasa Indonesia 

    What do I need to bring to class?

    Please bring your preferred items for note taking.

    Course materials are provided.

    ANZA cafe is open if you wish to purchase food or drink.

    I can't attend these dates or times, will the course be available again?

    We can arrange alternative dates and timings for the course, please complete this google form to give us an indication of your availability.

    ANZA can not function without our volunteers. Although, volunteers are needed throughout the year, the AGM is when our ANZA Committee is voted-in. 

    The ANZA Committee is in charge of the day-to-day management of our association. If you would like to become actively involved in organising ANZA events, or other volunteer roles this is the time to put your hand up! To put your name forward for a position please put your name up on the board at ANZA House or contact us on info@anzajakarta.com

    It is also an excellent opportunity to get an update on ANZA's social welfare programme

    To have the right to vote you will need to be a fully paid up member for this year so please bring your 2018 membership card.

    The ANZA Social Welfare Garage Sales happen a couple of times a year to fundraise for our social welfare projects. The Garage Sale is open to ANZA members only. 

    The day after the Garage Sale, we hold our Pasar Murah Sale which is primarily attended by household staff in the Kemang area.

    • Members' Garage Sale -9:00AM - 12:00PM Friday 1 March
    • Pasar Murah: From 7:00AM- 10:00AM Saturday 2 March

    Donated Goods

    We are always looking for any donations of clean items to sell at both, if you like to donate to our Social Welfare please drop items to ANZA House.

    Volunteers Needed

    If any members are available to help out with either event please contact the Social Welfare team. or add your name to the volunteer list at ANZA House.

    • Thursday 28 February - Sorting items at ANZA House into categories and pulling items for the Friday garage sale (wear something comfortable) 
    • Friday  1 March - 9am - 12pm - Helping to sell items during Member's garage sale
    • Saturday 2 March - 6am - 10:30am Sorting items and supervising during the sale
